Overview
United Utlities was looking for reassurance over the £80m pa costs associated with the NMA Alliance contract, covering AMP 5 2009/2012.
The Orange Partnership were able to deliver this reassurance, together with a cost savings in fee of over 20% compared to the previous suppliers, and improved performance from all parties.
Actions
The Orange Partnership was appointed for year two of AMP 5. Our brief was;
- To establish a more collaborative, less confrontational style of working
- To identify areas of uncertainty that could lead to dispute
- To resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
Results
Within a very short period we overcame the difficulties the previous supplier had encountered. This was achieved by working with EMS to develop a clear and agreed Audit Programme. With this we were able to work around busy periods, minimising disruption to the key contractor and ensuring we could access the information on time.
We utilised our in-depth knowledge of Repairs & Maintenance contracts to identify and reduce risks.
Throughout we focused on real commercial issues, allowing us to deliver solutions quickly and effectively and with a cost savings in fee of over 20%.
